After selecting which photographs to print, I had to decide the surface which to print on. Each photograph is 5ft x 7ft made up of 36 individual 11"x17" pieces hand transferred onto a silk chiffon fabric with citrasolv and then handsewn together. The photographs hang in a room designed to replicate one found in an abandoned home. All aspects of this space were hand done and carefully mapped out. The walls are covered in fabric reminiscent of wallpaper and distressed with various methods. Once adhered to the walls, wood paneling and moulding complete the look. The photographs are hung to create a space beginning with the entry/exterior of a home and so forth.
